What Is Yüth®? The Low-Dose Spermidine for Healthy Aging and Longevity Nutrition

Raw powder of Yüth® nature-identical spermidine powder, a low-dose ingredient for healthy aging and longevity nutrition formulas
July 22, 2026

Quick Take: Spermidine is a polyamine that every living cell makes and uses, and it has become the ingredient at the center of longevity nutrition and “healthy aging 2.0.” Spermidine is nature’s “house cleaner” – helping recycle (clean up) damaged cells. Yüth® is the nature-identical, self-affirmed GRAS spermidine built for the 2.0 shift. It works at a low 3mg dose, has no taste, holds up to heat and dissolves clearly in water. It is arguably the most versatile ingredient in all of supplements, so a formulator can put cellular-level healthy aging into almost any product.

In one sentence: Yüth® is a low-dose, nature-identical spermidine that gives formulators a clean, versatile way to bring healthy aging, longevity nutrition and beauty-from-within into real products.

Best for: healthy-aging and longevity supplements. Beauty-from-within blends for hair, skin and nails. Gummies, powders, capsules, RTDs and topicals. Multivitamins and layered stacks that focus on autophagy. Intermittent-fasting support formulas.

Why it works: Spermidine supports autophagy, the cell’s own recycling process. Autophagy slows with age. Yüth® delivers spermidine at a dose small enough, stable, and cost-effective enough to fit into any formula.

What is Yüth®?

Yüth® is Compound Solutions’ patent-pending, nature-identical spermidine, a polyamine ingredient built for healthy-aging, longevity-nutrition, beauty-from-within and cellular-wellness formulas.

Nature-identical means the spermidine in Yüth® is structurally the same molecule the body already makes and the same one found in wheat germ, aged cheese and soybeans. It carries self-affirmed GRAS status, comes with a clean label that is allergen-free and non-GMO, and it’s the world’s only spermidine made in the USA. Its active range is 3 to 5mg, low enough that it leaves room in a formula for everything else a brand wants to feature.

Most spermidine on the market comes in one of two forms: wheat germ extract or spermidine trihydrochloride. Wheat germ is expensive and contains very low concentrations of spermidine, requiring impractically high doses. Separately, Compound Solutions now offers RÅ™, a highly concentrated natural spermidine ingredient that delivers far more spermidine than traditional wheat germ extracts. Yüth® is the nature-identical, formulation-ready option for applications where a low dose and cost are important formulation factors.

What is spermidine, and what are polyamines?

Spermidine is a naturally occurring polyamine found in every living cell, originally identified in semen, which is where the polyamine family gets its name, and now studied mostly for its role in autophagy and healthy aging.

Polyamines are small molecules built from amino acids. The three that matter most in the body are putrescine, spermidine and spermine, and the body makes spermidine from putrescine before converting it to spermine. They are among the oldest and most universal molecules in biology, present in the cells of nearly every living organism and essential for cell growth and survival, which is why they turn up everywhere from hair follicles to heart muscle. Cells rely on them to regulate gene expression, build proteins, stabilize DNA and support mitochondrial function.

Why does the above matter to healthy aging? Well, spermidine levels fall as people age, and this causes “cellular drift” that accelerates aging. However, data suggest that spermidine is part of the healthy aging solution. In large diet studies, people who ate more spermidine-rich food showed lower rates of cardiovascular death and all-cause mortality.

What is autophagy, and why does healthy aging start at the cellular level?

Autophagy is the cell’s recycling system, the process that breaks down worn-out parts so the cell can rebuild with fresh ones. Unfortunately, this systems runs slower and less efficiently with age.

When autophagy falls behind, fewer damaged cells are cleared from the system. Some become senescent (old) which are often-called “zombie cells” that linger and drive the visible and internal signs of aging. This is why the category keeps landing on the same idea; aging starts at the cellular level, and cellular renewal starts with autophagy. Skin, hair, energy, brain, joints, heart and immune resilience all sit downstream of that housekeeping, which is why so much of what people want from healthy aging traces back to how well their cells renew. Longevity nutrition is the name for that approach – feeding the body the molecules that keep cellular renewal and energy production running instead of chasing the signs of aging later, and spermidine is one of its anchor ingredients.

Spermidine is one of the few dietary molecules shown to switch autophagy on. It works on the machinery that regulates autophagy genes, including inhibition of the acetyltransferase EP300 and effects on the mTOR and AMPK pathways. Fasting and exercise trigger the same cleanup, which is why spermidine is often called a fasting mimetic. It can prompt the autophagic effects associated with fasting without the fast. That mechanism is what makes spermidine a natural anchor for intermittent-fasting support stacks, and Yüth® brings it into a form a brand can actually build around.

Why is spermidine foundational to longevity nutrition?

Because spermidine does a job the cell cannot skip – recycling. Trendy ingredients get swapped out, but spermidine sits closer to the wiring (our actual cellular mechanisms of aging). Spermidine is the molecule cells use to activate eIF5A, a factor required to build proteins, which is fundamental to life itself. This step is conserved in all living cells from nature to human.

That same eIF5A step also supplies the mitochondria, the parts of the cell that turn nutrients into energy. Research in aged mice and flies links spermidine to higher mitochondrial respiration (energy function), which is one reason its decline tracks so closely with aging. This is the honest version of the energy story; spermidine helps maintain the machinery that produces energy. Autophagy repairs and recycles cells, mitochondria powers the cell, and spermidine sits behind both.

That is why longevity nutrition reaches further than beauty. The same cellular renewal shows up in hair, skin and nails, yet it runs body-wide, which makes spermidine a foundational ingredient across the whole system. Biotin supports keratin and little else. Creatine and CoQ10 act directly inside the energy pathway. But Yüth® works one layer up, on the renewal and mitochondrial quality that keep those systems supplied, which is why it pairs with these ingredients instead of competing with them. That breadth is the “Swiss Army knife” brands keep reaching for, one ingredient aimed at hair, beauty, energy and whole-body renewal.

Because polyamines exist in every cell and fall with age, the case for a daily foundational dose is strong. Yüth® is versatile enough to headline a standalone longevity product or slot into the next daily multivitamin.

How does spermidine connect to beauty, hair, skin and nails?

Skin, hair and nails are among the fastest-renewing tissues in the body, so they lean heavily on the cellular renewal spermidine supports, which is why it keeps appearing in beauty-from-within formulas.

The research points in a consistent direction. In a 90-day placebo-controlled study, a spermidine-based supplement increased the share of hair sitting in the active growth phase. Separate skin research links spermidine to lipid and collagen synthesis and to a stronger skin barrier, and lab work shows it activates genes tied to skin improvement. None of this is a treatment claim. It is the same story as the rest of the ingredient, told at the surface. Support the cell, and the tissue that cell builds tends to follow. This is beauty on a cellular level, and Yüth® is the form that carries it into collagen blends, beauty waters, longevity multi-vitamins and hair-skin-nails gummies.

What makes Yüth® easy to formulate with?

Yüth® works at 3 to 5mg and is tasteless, stable in heat and dissolves clearly in water. So, it fits formats that higher-dose or wheat germ spermidine cannot enter.

Versatility for all applications is the entire point. A wheat germ extract standardized to less than one percent spermidine requires a large amount of material to deliver a few milligrams of active. That makes a gummy impractical, and too expensive for a stick pack. Yüth® delivers its active in a few milligrams of a tasteless powder, which leaves headroom for collagen, biotin, electrolytes or an NAD ingredient in the same formula. Add self-affirmed GRAS status, a clean allergen-free and non-GMO profile and US manufacturing, and the list of workable formats runs long:

  • Gummies and soft chews
  • Powder shakes, stick packs and hydration
  • RTD beauty and longevity waters
  • Capsules and tablets
  • Topical creams and cosmetics

A low, stable, tasteless dose of a nature-identical, self-affirmed GRAS spermidine is a claim no wheat germ extract or synthetic isolate on the shelf is positioned to make. That’s the lane Yüth® owns.

How is Yüth® different from other spermidine and NAD ingredients?

Not all spermidine is the same, and the ingredients it gets compared to often run on different pathways altogether. Wheat germ extract is the naturally-occuring source, but it standardizes to less than one percent spermidine. So, the dose per gram is low, the extract mass is high and the material carries a wheat allergen. Yüth® is nature-identical, low-dose, allergen-free and self-affirmed GRAS, which is why it slots into formats a bulky wheat germ extract cannot.

NMN sits in a different conversation. NMN and nicotinamide riboside are NAD precursors that work the cellular-energy and sirtuin axes, not the autophagy axis spermidine runs, so the two are complementary rather than competing. NMN also carries a regulatory history worth knowing. The FDA excluded it from the supplement definition in 2022, then reversed that position in September 2025, so it is a legal dietary supplement again.

Across the wider landscape, these ingredients sort into layers, and Yüth® sits at the foundation:
