Fortune Best Small and Medium Workplaces 2022
We’ve just been awarded a place on the coveted Fortune Best Workplaces in the small to medium size business category. The category is small to medium-sized business because we are a small but mighty team. We’re honored and happy to do the work to stay here for a while.
A little history 0n the Fortune Best Workplaces title
We believed strongly that we made it through the COVID-19 pandemic as a culture and company successfully. It was emotionally uncertain and tough but the silver lining was that we thrived in business. With dedicated leaders in our President, Kim Sickinger and our CEO, Matt Titlow, we were able to quickly become a remote company that did not miss a beat. “I have always believed that if you build a culture where your employees thrive, magic will happen,” Kim states. “In 2016, I was given a once in a lifetime opportunity to build just that and could not love what we have more.”
Thoroughly trusting each other, our goals, and clear communication all helped. But there was something more than just action, there was something deeper and special about where we came from and where we knew we wanted to be.
When doors began to open again, we stayed the course and unraveled a new way of Compound Solutions. Because of this, we suggested internally that maybe, just maybe, we were worthy of a nod from Great Places to Work. So we surveyed. The next thing we knew, we were awarded this for both 2021 and 2022. We’re proud of our team and celebrated all of this together, put our heads back down, and continued on because we do love to work hard, and play hard here at Compound Solutions.
In June of 2022, we got word that we were on the list for Fortune Best Small to Medium Workplaces. Then in September, we were named as one of Fortune’s 25 Best Workplaces in Biopharma- We’ll take it!

Here’s how Fortune Best Workplaces determined we were a fit
Fortune Best Workplaces (Fortune 500) partnered with Great Place to Work® to analyze anonymous survey feedback representing more than 825,000 U.S. employees. We took the survey and we asked our team to be honest. Considering all the things we do here at Compound Solutions, we felt pretty good about what we thought the outcome might be. But we can’t control the outcome. We just sort of trusted that Great Place to Work analyzes these experiences relative to each organization’s size, workforce makeup, and what’s typical relative to their peers in the industry.

The remaining 15 percent of the rank is based on an assessment of all employees’ daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure they’re consistently experienced.
To be considered for Fortune recognition, we had to be Great Place to Work-Certified which we were. Twice.
Where we are on the Fortune Best Workplaces list
Today we sit among some of the greatest companies to work for in the U.S. This means in our industry, we are notable and exemplary. This was not an overnight success. Compound Solutions has been around for 25 years and our momentum has grown in recent times. We are honored to be considered “great” but choose not to rest here.
As we grow into better, bolder versions of the CSI Team you see on lists and in more media, we embrace our “why”. We want a better world and that means better humans. This means we wish to connect humans to their potential in ways that matter.
